‘Dinner’ is the new release from Luvcat. It’s a surreal, theatrical track that matches hauntingly tongue-in-cheek nightmare music with visuals inspired by David Lunch. The track is centred on twisting simple chords for its first minute, before launching into a semi-orchestral middle section that gives way to a distortion-soaked outro that allows her live band to indulge in the manic universe they’ve created. “I wrote this song about a man I fancied and how all I wanted was him to take me for a prawn cocktail at Zédels,” Luvcat says of the single. “The music descends into madness.. much like when we become fixated on one another.” Catch Luvcat live around the UK and Europe in 2025. -Dan Peeke
